Bill 5 Explained: What It Means for Ontario's Nature and What We Can Do

Join us for an important and inspiring evening as we explore the impacts of Bill 5. This sweeping legislation threatens environmental protections, Indigenous rights and democratic accountability in Ontario.

What’s at stake? Everything from irreplaceable biodiversity to the basic rules that protect our wild species and wild spaces.

You will hear from Ontario Nature's new executive director, Andrés Jiménez Monge, myself and Indigenous Knowledge Holders Becky Big Canoe from Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation and Miptoon from the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation about how we’re rising to meet this challenge and how you can be part of the growing movement to defend nature and justice in Ontario.

Parking: There is a green P Parking lot at 365 Lippincott Avenue (click to see map), just south of Bloor Street and two blocks east of Bathurst. The building is a four-minute walk from the lot, west on Lennox Street to Bathurst.

Accessibility: The ground floor of CSI Annex where the event is taking place is fully accessible for mobile devices. Guests will enter through the south door – the entrance is equipped with a lift.
