Join Ontario Nature staff as we tour our beautiful H.N. Crossley Nature Reserve in Muskoka.

Ontario Nature staff and volunteers will lead short hikes along the accessible trail of this property that features Canadian shield with granite outcroppings and an 'eyed bog.' Learn about the unique ecological features of the area and rare species on the property including Virginia meadow-beauty and white fringed orchids.

Afterwards, everyone is invited to join us at the Bornstein Family cottage on Lake Joseph, a short 10-minute drive away. The Bornstein Family, Ontario Nature members, have kindly offered to host a gathering at their cottage. Join us for cold drinks, snacks and a chance to socialize with fellow nature-lovers while enjoying the beautiful view of the lake. Thank you, Brian and Jan!

Important Note on Parking & Shuttle Service
Due to limited parking space at the Bornstein Family cottage, we have rented a shuttle bus to transport everyone from the H.N. Crossley Nature Reserve to the Bornstein Cottage and back. We kindly ask that all attendees park at the nature reserve for the duration of the event.

When you register, please get one ticket (per person) for the hike and one (per person) for the social if you plan to come to both. Alternatively, if you just plan to join for one, please only get one ticket for only the part of the day you plan to join (hike or social).

We will email all participants a week before the event to confirm your attendance and send more information about travel. We will be taking a shuttle from the nature reserve to the Bornstein cottage. The shuttle will operate several trips to accommodate when people want to depart.
