Defending Nature with Ecojustice and Ontario Nature
Join Ontario Nature and Ecojustice for an important and inspiring evening as we discuss our shared strategies to ensure a hopeful environmental future for the people and diverse species that call Ontario home. Topics of discussion will include our legal efforts to protect piping plovers at Wasaga Beach, our ongoing Bill 5 legal action, and a constitutional challenge to Ontario’s “lawless zones” law.
You will hear an update on these critical issues from Ecojustice’s legal team (Lindsay Beck and Eric Zhao) and Tony Morris (Ontario Nature’s conservation policy and campaigns director). The discussion will be moderated by Andrés Jiménez Monge, executive director of Ontario Nature. We’ll discuss how we’re rising to meet these challenges and how you can be part of the growing movement to defend nature and justice in Ontario.
Let’s take action – together.
We will provide light bites and non-alcoholic refreshments.
