Guided Wildflower Walk at Petrel Point Nature Reserve

Join us for a guided wildflower tour at Petrel Point Nature Reserve, showcasing species diversity visible from the fully accessible boardwalk with Clare Mitchell. Clare Mitchell is a retired Geography and Environmental Management professor, author, native plant enthusiast and the official steward of Petrel Point Nature Reserve.

The walk will highlight the nature reserve’s rare fen ecosystem and feature several carnivorous plants and wildflowers found on the property. The event will take place entirely along the reserve’s fully accessible boardwalk, allowing all featured species to be viewed without leaving the trail. This event is intended for community members who are interested in learning more about local biodiversity, including those who face accessibility barriers to participating in outdoor nature experiences.

Friends and family are welcome to join.

Schedule:
1:00-1:15PM: Registration & Introductions (snacks and light refreshments will be provided)
1:15-2:45PM: Wildflower Tour (Meet at Petrel Point Kiosk sign - Google Maps)
2:45-3:00PM: Goodbyes
