After a hiatus in 2025. The Data Cooperative Working Group is reconvening.

The group is an informal, welcoming international group of practitioners, researchers and academics that are interested in the potential of mutual and co-operative data governance to create a more equitable, fair and just approach to the way data is managed. As we see more data being extracted especially for the training of Large Language Models (LLMs) and other forms of mass aggregation and analysis. There has never been a more of a need to create data governance structures and initiatives that give people more control over how data is created, stored and used.

This meeting will alternate between being hosted by Open Data Manchester and Aapti Institute.

Important information: This event will take place online via Whereby - no log-ins and no downloading of applications. We will send out a link to join the session on the morning of the event and 30 minutes before the start time.
