Our ability to get about more easily is probably one of the biggest impacts from the early days of open data. It underpins many of the public transport applications and services we use in our everyday lives. From the groundbreaking CityMapper to applications that allow you to see the minutiae of railway operations and the government's recent push for bus data to be released through the Bus Services Act 2025, open data has transformed mobility.

Road transport has also benefited, with open data on scheduled maintenance and live petrol pump prices enabling motorists to make more informed decisions about their journeys.

Our next event will delve into some of the great services and insights that open transport data has provided, and reflect on the challenges ahead for people on their journeys.

If you have transport application or insight you would like to share, get in touch.
