We are refreshing Greater Manchester's Digital Strategy - The GM Digital Blueprint. How to keep people safe in an increasing online world will be a vital part of this refresh. We want to hear from you about the risks out there, and what steps we can take in Greater Manchester to help protect people from these.
Sometimes when we think about digital technology and safety we first think about risks like fraud and hacking, but its much bigger than this. There are a wide range of 'online harms' including things like hate crime and child exploitation. What happens online can have impacts in the real world too, including damage to community cohesion. These harms often impact some parts of the community much more than others.
If you can help us understand more about the dangers out there and what works to keep people safe, we want to hear from you. We recognise that it can be hard to spare time for workshops like this. We hope to create an event that also gives you a chance to learn from different people about the work already happening in Greater Manchester.
