Join OPERA America for a two-day, in-person ReadyWhen field intensive presented by Majestic Collaborations built to hone the operational capacities that overlap most directly between event production and emergency readiness. Whether you’re strengthening organizational operations, positioning venues as community resilience hubs, or building practical skills to support your community through disruption, you’ll gain hands-on experience through interactive training and scenario-based exercises.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
A PATHWAY TO THE 15-HOUR FOUNDATIONS CERTIFCATE
Explore practical ideas, interventions, and relationships before disruption hits. The NYC Field Intensive stands on its own or can serve as your field practicum toward the 15-hour ReadyWhen Foundations Certificate. Continue through the full pathway to build skills and connect preparedness to mission, partnerships, and investment.
THE LIGHTS GO OUT: RESILIENCE TABLETOP
Participate in a role-playing tabletop built specifically for the arts and culture ecosystem. Work through extreme heat, power loss, infrastructure failure, public safety, sheltering, communications, and a call for help. Decide whether to activate your site, support the larger system, or stay closed responsibly.
The $250 registration fee also includes venue tours, lunch on Thursday, and ReadyWhen Practicum Certificate of Completion.

Please note that earning the full 15-hour certifcate requires separate enrollment and a certificate fee, plus online coursework, required micro-credentials, and an online final assessment—all hosted through IFCPP’s professional learning platform.
