Facilitated Listening Session

OPERA America invites artists working in opera to join a facilitated listening session for meaningful discussion with peers about the artist experience in the field, especially in the areas of training and development programs.

These sessions will be facilitated by a trained practitioner to allow artists’ ideas, experiences, and voices to be heard. Select OPERA America staff and board members will be present to listen. Sessions will not be audio or video recorded.

Registration is required to participate in the live discussions. Faculty, staff, and administrators of training and development programs are asked not to attend these sessions. Please limit your registration to one session. If registration becomes full, additional sessions will be added.

To ensure meaningful engagement and a safe community space, we ask that you arrive within the first 10 minutes of the Listening Session you register to attend. If you are unable to arrive at that time, we ask that you register for one of the future listening sessions so we can benefit from your full participation with the community in the room.
