Opera Sustenida was founded in 2020 by Stephanie DeCiantis (spinto soprano), Nicole Whitney Dubinsky (coloratura soprano), Daniella Theresia (mezzo-soprano), and Suzanne Yeo (pianist). “The Divas” are known for their innovative virtual opera concerts that bring opera to a wider audience through their use of virtual techniques and platforms. In September 2023, they created their first full, live opera production with a traditional setting of Verdi's beloved opera Il trovatore with modern sensibilities. "Il trovatore: THE MOVIE" will be released in Spring 2023 with an exclusive launch party in Toronto as well as a live YouTube premiere.
