Join us on 16th October, 2024, at The Crypt, Middlesbrough Town Hall, for a transformative experience at TEDxTeessideWomen. After the success of our 'See the Opportunity' theme in 2023, our core learning is clear: unity is needed now more than ever.

Event Overview: TEDxTeessideWomen is dedicated to the power of women, non-binary individuals, and their allies as creators and change-makers. This year, our theme is 'Elevating Every Voice,' emphasising the need for unity to share ideas, build connections, and to support each other to rise. 

Why Middlesbrough? TEDxTeessideWomen founder, Michaela Reaney was born and grew up in Middlesbrough and is passionate about raising the aspirations of women, girls and non-binary people in the Teesside area. When Plan UK released the data that Middlesbrough is the worst place to be born a girl in the UK, unsurprisingly this ignited a fire in us to change this narrative. We want to contribute to the importance of creating more opportunities and events regionally outside of the cities for better accessibility and inclusion.

The Experience: Embark on an inspiring session of talks curated to build a better, more equitable future. TEDxTeessideWomen 2024 will retain a 'glocal' feel, bridging global perspectives with local impact.

• Welcome dinner on October 15th with speakers, sponsors, and supporters, featuring a three-course meal and celebratory drinks.
