How has the Environmental Movement developed in Scotland? A Witness Seminar.
We invite you to observe a Witness Seminar exploring the development of the environmental movement in Scotland.
Witness seminars provide a unique opportunity for practitioners to come together. We are hosting panellists from across Scottish environmental organisations who will discuss their experiences in the round.
Would you like to join us as part of a small audience? Entry is free.
This event is a part of The Oral History of the Environmental Movement , a three-year project designed to record the voices of over 100 individuals who have been involved in the environmental movement from 1970 to the present day.
Our thanks to the Scottish Oral History Centre at the University of Strathclyde for hosting this event.
The seminar will cover the following questions:
- What are the key moments and turning points in the development of environmental activism in Scotland?
- What has been the impact of devolution on the environmental movement, and environmental policy, projects, and campaigning in Scotland?
- Are there lessons from the past experience of environmental action for present and future generations?
