The Orange Collective peer support sessions provide a space for anyone interested in, or already using the arts to support peoples' wellbeing. This is a space to trial a workshop in the safe company of peers and receive feedback to support development of the idea
Sam says her peer support event is an invitation for you to experience and engage with mindful photography and help ‘push the edges’ of how the workshop might be delivered.
Sam aims to create a space for participants to slow down, connect, be and see things differently. She draws on mindful techniques, image-making and nature-connection to help connect participants with the world around them and support their wellbeing. There will be guided visual exercises with and without a camera. No previous experience or skill in photography necessary. Sam asks that you just bring yourself, a phone or a camera (or use one of hers!) and attend with openness and a curious mind.
Sam is an experienced photographer, educator and facilitator. Trained in the evidence-based Look Again mindful photography methodology.
She is seeking input on potential funding/partnership opportunities . The feedback session for 20 mins at the end of the workshop will be facilitated by Orange Collective.
