Come along to a creative & reflective peer support space

Who?

• For artists, creative professionals, mental health practitioners, teachers, therapists and anyone interested in using creativity and the arts to support wellbeing.

• For those who have attended Orange Collective workshops and those who want to find out more.

Why?

Since launching the Orange Collective community and workshops in January 2022, we've had a hugely positive response with many of you asking for the creation of a regular peer support space and continued support in developing your practice in community..

How?

The Orange Collective Peer Support groups provide a space for community members to test out new ideas, share skills and knowledge and give and receive feedback.

Next Session

Bilateral Mark Making

Our next Peer Support Group will be co-facilitated with art psychotherapist Holly Austin. Sessions are open to anyone interested in arts and wellbeing who would like to meet like-minded people. It's an opportunity to meet and chat while art making. (no need to be good at art.) Whether you've been to an Orange Collective workshop or are thinking of coming - all are welcome!!  Join us for a relaxed, creative session.

In this workshop we will explore Bilateral mark making and how it can be used as a tool for emotional regulation. Bilateral mark making means working with two hands to stimulate both the left and right hemispheres of the brain which connects thinking to feeling. It is a really helpful tool for grounding, soothing and calming the body which can be used for your own practice (self-support) as well as working with arts for wellbeing and with therapy clients.

In the workshop we will be using creative approaches to harness breath, movement and image making. This will be a safe space to explore and think about how bi lateral mark making may be integrated into your arts and wellbeing practise. It will also be a sharing space for us to be in community with each other and to experience the benefits of just being.

These Peer workshops are experimental and help to support community members to develop their ideas. So this is also a chance to give feedback to Holly and support her in her arts and wellbeing work!

Tickets are just £10 please book here asap so we know how many people are coming:

Really look forward to seeing you there!
