Making sure we get the diagnosis right in diabetes is important, but sometimes things are not straightforward. During this session we will discuss the use of HBA1c in diagnosing diabetes and pitfalls to its use. We will also look at rarer types of diabetes and consider when to think of these, illustrated by some patient case studies.
