Short abstract:
Diabetic neuropathy is a major complication of diabetes, affecting millions worldwide. This webinar, hosted by the NEUROdiab Youth Committee, will explore the latest advances in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of peripheral and autonomic diabetic neuropathy, with a focus on improving patient outcomes. NEUROdiab is an international study group dedicated to advancing research and education in diabetic neuropathy through collaboration between specialists and researchers. Designed for all practitioners caring for people with diabetes, as well as researchers in diabetes and neuropathy, this session will highlight key strategies to enhance the care and management of diabetic neuropathy.
Educational outcomes:
- Enchance recognition of peripheral and autonomic neuropathy, including early detection, risk assessment and diagnostic tools.
- Improve understanding of the evidence-based therapies for managing peripheral and autonomic neuropathy.
- Highlight the approaches to prevent/slow the progression of diabetic neuropathy.
