Make a Star for A Starbright Christmas ✨

The Orchards Shopping Centre is giving you the chance to be part of something really special this Christmas – creating your own star lantern before joining a magical community lantern parade ahead of the annual Christmas Tree Lights Switch-On.

Join us for one of our special lantern-making workshops, led by the experts behind Wakehurst’s Glow Wild, and create one of their signature hanging star lanterns ready to carry in A Starbright Christmas on Saturday 28th November.

During the workshop, you’ll work together to create one of Glow Wild’s beautiful signature hanging star lanterns, ready to bring along to our A Starbright Christmas Lantern Parade in Haywards Heath on Saturday 28th November.

✨ One lantern. Two people. A lovely Christmas memory.

Each £10 ticket is for TWO people to make ONE star lantern together.

It could be a parent and child, grandparent and grandchild, two best friends, a couple, siblings – or simply two people who fancy getting creative together. No experience is needed; the Glow Wild team will be there to guide you through making your star.

And your £10 will do something rather special too.

Every penny of the ticket price will be donated to Kangaroos, The Orchards’ Charity of the Year, supporting their work with children and young adults with learning disabilities.

🏮 Then bring your star back for the parade!

Your lantern’s story doesn’t have to end at the workshop.

On Saturday 28th November, we’d love you to bring your finished star back and join us for A Starbright Christmas – our Christmas launch and community lantern parade through Haywards Heath.

With Kangaroos helping to head up the parade and Burgess Hill Youth Marching Band leading the way, we’ll set off from Victoria Park and make our way along South Road, into Church Road and down St Wilfrid’s Way before entering The Orchards Shopping Centre.

Together, we’ll carry our lanterns through the centre towards the Christmas tree, ready for the annual Christmas lights switch-on. 🎄✨

Imagine all those handmade stars glowing together as we make our way through the town!

Your £10 workshop ticket includes:

• Entry for two people
• Materials to create one hanging star lantern
• Expert guidance from the team behind Wakehurst’s Glow Wild
• Your finished lantern to take home and bring back for the parade
• 100% of your £10 ticket price donated to Kangaroos

Whether you're making your star with your child, your best friend, your partner or someone special, come and spend some time creating together – and then be part of something magical when Haywards Heath lights up for Christmas.

Make a star. Make a memory. Help us make Haywards Heath shine. ⭐
