Orla Noble is a singer songwriter and gifted multi-instrumentalist hailing from Glasgow, Scotland. Her ethereal, folk-inspired storytelling bridges the mundane and the fairytale, drawing from Scottish traditional influences and traversing deeply personal themes of identity, pain, and love; from powerless despair to luminous hope. Her self-produced debut album unfurl is set for release on 15th May 2026.
unfurl documents Orla’s first foray into songwriting and producing after years on the sidelines of Scotland’s music scene. A sacred and deeply personal collection, unfurl comprises Orla’s very first original songs, which arrived suddenly and completely in the span of a number of weeks in Spring 2025.
The record was engineered and mixed by Gordon Maclean (Dougie Maclean, Roddy Woomble, King Creosote) in his Bb Studio in Tobermory, Mull, and performed almost entirely by Orla on vocals, guitars, bass guitars, drums, percussion, and piano. A guest spot from Hector Shaw (piano) and Gordon Maclean (bass) also feature, alongside string arrangements from Scottish singer songwriter and violinist, Rhona Macfarlane - performed by her on violin and Rachel Wilson on cello.
Her first few singles have garnered support across radio, including as Track of the Week on BBC 6Music’s Introducing Mixtape and Sunday Soundwave on BBC Radio Scotland’s Roddy Hart Mixtape, as well as airplay on 6Music's Nick Grimshaw & Chris Hawkins, Central FM, Camglen Radio, Phoenix FM, and across BBC Radio Scotland (BBC Introducing, Travelling Folk, Roddy Hart’s Mixtape, Up Late with Lynne Hogan). She has performed to audiences at Celtic Connections, and will perform at Belladrum and Under Canvas this summer. Her debut album unfurl is set to be self-released in May 2026.
“Talent in abundance, unbelievable” - Roddy Hart, BBC Radio Scotland

Support from Holly Powers
If folk with a haunting edge is your thing, Edinburgh born songwriter Holly Powers, and her father, Andy Powers, weave together guitar, bass and vocals to create a hypnotic indie folk sound. With her imposing picking and commanding vocals she balances wistful introspection and quiet optimism, leaving you lost in her world in the best way possible.
Unreserved seated performance, with option to stand at the back.
I am putting on this gig independently and costs are very high. If cost is a barrier to attending but you'd still like to come, reach out to me and let me know - orlanoble@outlook.com. At the same time, if you feel able to make a 'pay it forward' donation then I'll very happily pass it on to someone in need or make sure it goes directly to the lovely musicians joining me!
