Compassion Week
Three years and counting. We've been partnering with Los Altos United Methodist Church for Compassion Week again, and we want YOU to be part of it!
Come be part of something bigger than yourself. Whether you've got an hour or a whole day to give, there's something for everyone. Let's make this our best year yet!
About Compassion Week:
Compassion Week is a Bay Area initiative built around three simple ideas: learning, understanding and serving. Founded in 2012 by Los Altos United Methodist Church, it has grown into a true community collaboration. The goal of Compassion Week is to translate passion and compassion into longer term action by the community, turning one week of service into something that lasts all year.
Each year, volunteers can learn about roughly 70 local organizations tackling issues from food insecurity to veteran support, understand community needs through direct dialogue and exposure, and serve through 150+ hands-on projects open to all ages and abilities. In 2025 alone, over 4,400 volunteers gave more than 8,500 hours across 214 projects in nearly 20 Bay Area cities.
