Join us for a special evening at Royal Holloway University to celebrate the launch of Al-Asil – The Purebred Arabian (published by Furthest Boundary Press), a compelling new work exploring the enduring legacy of the Arabian horse and its central place within Islamic tradition, history, and spiritual chivalry (futuwwa).

We are honoured to host Yusuf Bemath (South Africa), author, horseman, and historian, alongside Khadijah Mellah, the renowned Muslim champion jockey, trailblazer in British racing and co-founder of "Riding a Dream Academy" . Together, they will share reflections on faith, heritage, horsemanship, and representation within the equestrian world.

What to expect

• Short talks from our distinguished guests
• A screening of a short trailer for the Futuwwa Retreat — a unique retreat reviving the Prophetic arts, including equitation and archery
• A short Q&A session with Yusuf Bemath and Khadijah Mellah
• Opportunity to purchase Al-Asil on the night
