Events list
The Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy is a specialist osteopathy charity in the UK that makes osteopathy an option for all children and families since 1991. The Osteopathic Centre for Children is the name of our dedicated Paediatric clinic.
Our mission is to train skilled and knowledgeable Paediatric osteopaths, research osteopathy for children, and provide excellent osteopathic care for children (up to 18) and pregnant and post-natal women (up to 6 treatments) at our dedicated Paediatric clinic. We treat all patients, regardless of their ability to donate for treatment. We always treat holistically to help restore, maintain and support health and well-being.
We believe that kindness is inherent in the good practice of osteopathy. It takes many forms, from really giving our patients our full caring attention when listening to their health issues, to offering our services and asking families only to donate what they can to support our work. Many of our skilled osteopaths kindly volunteer their skills to benefit those who can’t access osteopathy in private practice.
At the Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy, our business is to deliver specialist paediatric osteopathy through our clinics to babies, children, teens (up to 18), pregnant and post-natal women (up to 6 treatments), all on a donate-what-you-can basis. We also train highly skilled osteopaths in the rigorous specialism of paediatrics and conduct research into the benefits of osteopathy.
Qualified osteopaths looking for continuing professional development short courses or a rigorous, clinic-based postgraduate training programme in Paediatric Osteopathy are in good hands at Osteopathic Centre for Children.
The OCC (also known as Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy) has become a world-recognised learning institution, having awarded more than 250 postgraduate diplomas to registered osteopaths since 1991. We are best known for our unique clinical Diploma in Paediatric Osteopathy (DPO) course, but in 2022, the OCC has presented a new and innovative educational pathway, which is designed to enable osteopaths to nurture, develop and enhance their specialist skills in paediatrics.
Our world-wide network of practitioners (in addition to our Alumni), also include over 40 Associate Members who practise throughout the United Kingdom, continental Europe, Australia, Israel and the USA.
