Discover What It’s Like at the Osteopathic Centre for Children (OCC)

Clinical learning is at the heart of everything we do at the Osteopathic Center for Children. We offer an immersive, hands-on experience unlike any other paediatric osteopathy clinic. Our approach ensures that you develop your skills quickly, efficiently, and effectively — helping you become a confident and capable paediatric osteopath in less time.

If you’re considering working in paediatrics, are interested in joining our post-graduate courses, or simply want to experience our unique paediatric clinic, come and join our Paediatric Clinical Experience. Spend time in our clinic and discover what it’s like at the OCC. You will be invited to observe consultations, assessments, and/or treatments conducted by OCC osteopaths.

• What will happen during your visit? You will be invited to observe consultations, assessments, and/or treatments conducted by OCC osteopaths, and should not anticipate engaging in any hands-on activities such as touching, palpating, or treating patients.

• Free Half-Day Paediatric Clinical Experience

Our free clinical experience offers a unique opportunity to discover what it’s like working with children in our paediatric clinic. You’ll gain insight into the high level of clinical learning and collaborative care that form the foundation of our clinic. This is an introductory offer for those wanting to experience our clinic for half a day. There are limited places available, so please book quickly. Allocation of places will be discretionary.

- Cost: Half a day is free

- Hours: 10.00 AM – 1.00 PM (morning) or 2.00 PM – 5.00 PM (afternoon)

• Paid Paediatric Clinical Experience

For those wanting a deep dive into paediatric osteopathy, providing unparalleled learning alongside expert practitioners, we also offer paid paediatric clinical experience. You will have the opportunity to attend tutorials with experienced paediatric osteopaths, providing valuable insights into diagnosis and treatment planning. You will also receive a recognised CPD Certificate for your professional portfolio (7 hours for a full day, 3.5 hours for half a day).

- Cost: 

Full day: £120 + £10.00 Processing Fee

Half day: £60 + £10.00 Processing Fee

- Hours: Full day: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM / Half day: 9.00 AM – 1.00 PM (morning only)

Cancellation Policy

The OCC/FPO reserves the right to postpone the event should circumstances change. The processing fee is non-refundable, so in the event that your booking is cancelled by the OCC/FPO, all fees (except the processing fee) will be refunded.

Should circumstances mean that you have to cancel your place, the OCC/FPO regrets to inform that no refunds can be given unless we are able to re-sell your place.

Please note, the OCC/FPO does not accept responsibility for any expense you incur (such as travel and accommodation costs), so please do consider this before registration.
