Do not miss this opportunity to join Dr Helen’s redesigned online CPD session, where you’ll draw on her extensive experience and explore the wider role of dentistry in children’s health. Be part of a movement that is changing the way we understand growth and development.

Children are facing increasing health challenges and becoming increasingly unwell. Most modern lifestyles have led to dramatic changes to the structure of cranial and facial bones. This CPD session will focus on the importance of Early Diagnosis and an Interdisciplinary Approach to Treatment in order to achieve optimal child health. Osteopaths, Ear, Nose and Throat specialists (ENTs), Oral Myofunctional Therapists (OMTs), and Dentists all play a role in this proactive, collaborative approach to improve care, health, and children’s wellbeing.

Join us to explore this approach in greater depth and advance your osteopathic practice.

Dr Helen Jones BD,LDS.RCS,MFGDP.UK, FICD, FPFA, Retired Specialist Orthodontist

Dr Helen Jones trained at Guy's Hospital Dental School. After qualification she spent some years in South Africa and on her return to the UK, she underwent postgraduate training in Orthodontics. The focus was on fixed appliances in the teenage years, often involving extractions & retraction headgear.

The late Dr Brendan Stack introduced Dr Jones to the role of Cranial Osteopathy and the effectiveness of early treatment.

The importance of the airway and a good sleep patten is now being recognised as fundamental for optimal health. This has culminated in the formation of the interdisciplinary Society for Dentofacial Growth and Function for which she acts as Honorary Secretary. This Society focuses on optimising child health in the first decade of life which will also prevent or minimise problems occurring in the years ahead.
