Course Content: This one-day interactive workshop provides a theoretical and practical understanding of primitive reflex development, with a particular focus on reflex integration and its relationship with motor, sensory and cognitive development. A range of common clinical presentations will be discussed within the context of reflex development including breastfeeding issues, torticollis, meeting motor milestones, emotional dysregulation and neurodevelopmental disorders.

The course will cover primitive reflex assessment from birth to adolescence, as well as basic sensory and reflex integration exercises appropriate for a range of ages and developmental levels. Additionally, content will be presented in light of current research findings. By the end of this course, you will be able to identify a range of primitive reflexes across paediatric age groups and have tools to assist in reflex integration, with the aim of being able to immediately apply these techniques in clinical practice.
