1-day Emergency Paediatric First Aid Course

The one-day FAA Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF) is a 6-hour accredited qualification designed to equip healthcare professionals like osteopaths with the essential knowledge and practical competence to respond to a wide range of paediatric first aid situations.

• Timings: 9:00 - 16:30 (minimum 6 guided learning hours)
• Location: OCC, Unit 1 Knot House, Brewery Square, London SE1 2LF
• Cost: £135.00 + £10.00 processing fee

Syllabus - a range of subjects is covered, and osteopaths will learn how to:

• Understand the paediatric first aider role and responsibilities in a healthcare setting.
• Safely assess emergency situations.
• Consider Resuscitation, deliver CPR and recovery position techniques for infants and children.
• Provide immediate first aid for choking, seizures, external bleeding, and shock.
• Respond effectively to minor injuries, bites, stings, nosebleeds, cuts, grazes, bruises, and splinters.

Certification:

On successful completion of the course and assessment, you will receive a Level 3 Certification from the Awarding Body: First Aid Awards (FAA), which is valid for three years and may be used as evidence of CPD.

• Basic Life Support training for children and babies
• Resuscitation Council (UK) compliant
• 3-year qualification

We believe everyone should have the skills to preserve life and strongly recommend that all Osteopaths who have trained or are currently with OCC/FPO should hold a valid Paediatric First Aid qualification. Correctly applied first aid techniques can, quite simply, save lives. They can also lessen pain and help reduce healing time.
