Taith i Newidd A Journey to change

What does it look like when police and communities truly work together with young people to create better, safer communities?

That’s the question at the heart of Taith i Newid -A Journey to Change a partnership between Tempo Time Credits, Our Voice Our Journey and Blue Light New Zealand funded by Taith. 

Join us on Wednesday 9th July, 9.30am–12.30pm at the Sport Wales National Centre, Cardiff for a special half-day learning exchange that brings together voices from across policing, public protection, community engagement, youth work, and social action.

We’re bringing Aotearoa New Zealand to Wales.

Blue Light NZ aim to-

• Reduce the incidence of young people becoming an offender or victim of crime.
• Encourage better relations between the Police, young people, their parents, and the community.

Colleagues and young people from Blue Light NZ will be joining us alongside a NZ Police schools officer to share what over 40 years of building genuine relationships between police, young people, families and communities looks like in practice.

This is a space to learn, to question, and to imagine what’s possible when we move from systems thinking to community belonging. Young people from other sides of the globe will be sharing learning from their Taith international exchange. Come and hear their dreams about what we could be doing here in Wales and the UK to engage young people and create safer communities.
