REWIRED Newport - Launch Event

Join us for the launch of the REWIRED Network in Newport, bringing together professionals who work with and support young people across the city.

Young people are growing up in an increasingly complex world, shaped by online influences, changing social dynamics, and growing pressures around identity, relationships, and belonging. Practitioners are often expected to respond to these challenges in isolation. REWIRED exists to change that.

REWIRED is Our Voice Our Journey's practitioner network, supporting those working with young people to confidently create meaningful spaces for conversations around masculinities, misogyny, gender-based violence, healthy relationships, and respect.

This launch event will introduce the network, explore the challenges facing practitioners today, and share how REWIRED supports professionals through training, practical resources, peer support, and opportunities to connect with others doing similar work. Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore resources from the REWIRED library and see how they can be used to build trust, support engagement, and open up meaningful conversations with young people.

The event will include opportunities to network with professionals from across Newport, share experiences, and explore how stronger local connections can help create safer and healthier environments for young people.

Whether you work in youth work, education, health, community services, sport, safeguarding, or the voluntary sector, this is an opportunity to be part of a growing community committed to responding earlier, building confidence, and creating positive change.
