Adventures Away from Home at Ouseburn Farm for 11-16s
Free day visits for young people aged 11-16 from Newcastle and nearby areas
Join us for a fun, hands-on adventure at Ouseburn Farm! Each week, small groups of young people will spend a day discovering life on our working city farm - meeting the animals, getting stuck into gardening, and exploring the outdoors.
You’ll get the chance to:
- Feed and care for the farm animals
- Grow and taste your own food
- Try outdoor activities
- Make new friends and build confidence
Each visit is designed to help you learn new skills, grow in confidence, and enjoy the outdoors in a supportive, inclusive environment. All sessions are run by our experienced team, who make sure everyone feels safe, welcome, and part of the group — whether it’s your first time on a farm or you’ve been before.
PLEASE READ: Following signing up to this session, you'll be emailed with a pre and post session survey. To confirm your place, please complete the pre session survey in advance of attending.
Who it’s for:
Young people aged 11-16 who live in Newcastle and nearby areas, especially those from Byker, Walker, or other local communities who might not usually get the chance to enjoy experiences like this.
When:

Cost:
Free to attend! Lunch can be provided if needed and transport to the farm (e.g. bus tickets) can be reimbursed.
