Professional Talk with Legs On The Wall
Sat 24 Aug 2024 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Royal Docks Centre for Sustainability, E16 2RD
Description
Join OutdoorArtsUK, GDIF, and Global Streets for a professional talk event with Josh Thomson, Artistic Director of Legs On The Wall, the creators of THAW. THAW brings Londoners face to face with the urgent need for global climate action.
Chaired by OutdoorArtsUK Director Sho Shibata, you'll hear from Josh about the ideas behind THAW and the environmental considerations in bringing the work to the UK, along with any questions you might want to ask. We'll also hear from Kevin Wratten, Global Streets Producer, on raising the public visibility of climate crisis through creative programming, connecting tours across partners and touring solutions to reduce freight and travel.
Doors open at 3pm in the The Foyer at the Royal Docks Centre for Sustainability. The talk will start at 3:30pm, lasting until 4:30pm and the space will be available for informal networking until 6pm. Teas and coffees will be provided.
The space is accessible for wheelchair users. If you have any other access needs, do let us know using the access question at ticket checkout so that we can make the required adaptations.
Legs On The Wall’s presentation of THAW at GDIF has been assisted by the Australian Government through Creative Australia, its principal arts investment and advisory body and supported by the NSW Government through Create NSW. With thanks to Zomer van Antwerpen.
