Bike Skills: 1-to-1 Forres

From learning to cycle with balance bikes to improving cycling skills, these sessions are designed to teach young people the basic skills they need to cycle safely. Simply book a session, then let the instructor know what level of instruction the young person needs on the day.

We will have a range of bike sizes available, but you are welcome to bring their bike if preferred but please be aware that:

• we DO NOT teach with stablisers, so these will be removed before any instruction takes place (if this isn't possible, the session won't go ahead)
• we may remove the pedals to turn the bike into a 'balance bike', but these can be easily reattached once they have mastered pedaling
  
• these sessions are for ages 5+ ONLY
• we DO NOT teach bike tricks, such as wheelies etc

PLEASE BEAR IN MIND: these sessions are up to 45mins and will depend on the child's ability and concentration levels. The outcomes will be child-led, meaning they may not learn to ride their bike, but they will be a lot further along their learning journey. If you feel your child needs more than one session, we advise booking different days to give them some downtime.

Please make sure your child is suitably dressed to ride a bike; appropriate for the day's weather, but avoiding clothes that will interfere with the wheels or chain (long coats for example). They should also be wearing sturdy footwear (no wellies, flip flops or strappy sandals etc).
