T4T Brickhouse Poetry and Open Mic Night
Wed May 29, 2024 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Description
We are excited to bring you our 3rd T4T Brickhouse event!
No one is sure of who threw the first brick at the Stonewall Riots. Some say a brick wasn't thrown at all. However, it has become a revolutionary object symbolizing the pivotal moment that propelled the queer liberation movement. And the queer liberation movement was lead by trans women of color. The brick is a symbol of reclaiming our narratives after so much harm done to our community. We want to build a Brickhouse for our Trans4Trans love along with a home for them to speak their truths.
T4T Brickhouse is a poetry feature and open mic series run by Mariah Ayscue, with Out Montclair.
