Fri 19 Apr 2024 7:15 PM - 10:00 PM BST
St Barnabas Church, St Barnabas St, Jericho, Oxford, OX2 6BG
Description
Part of Oxford Folk Festival 2024
Brown Boots Boogie Band is the punchy and energetic group led by Will Allen on melodeon and Martin Clarke on fiddle, and augmented by Will Chamberlain on piano and Paul Quarry on snare drum. Their musical background is rooted in playing music for dancing, as well as gaining inspiration from playing with their many talented musical friends at festivals and pub sessions across the country. This band has the energy of a late night session and with an unstoppable groove.
Joining them to call the dances is Ollie Simons, one of the most charismatic and in-demand young callers currently on the scene. His calling is infectious, you can't help but dance with a grin on your face. Non-gendered calls will be used.
