Doors 7.30pm, dancing from 8 until 11pm.
What a treat to have Token Women back at Oxfolk to celebrate the season! Seven exceptional musicians deliver inventive arrangements, European dance tunes and infectious energy. Their influences are many and their arrangements unusual, catchy and inspiring. Nobody sounds like them and every gig is a party. Dances will be called by Jo Freya and Fi Fraser. Non-gendered calls will be used.
"The stage is absolutely dripping with talent. What an extraordinary band.”
Formed originally to highlight the women, often lone, in instrumental music there is nothing tokenistic about what they do. It’s delivered with passion, energy and exuberance that is infectious.
Fi and Jo use gender neutral, positional calls.
