Oxfolk Ceilidh with Belver and caller Martin Clarke

Belver are the new trad-folk trio with a big sound that are beginning to spread across the professional circuit like wildfire. Comprising of Harry Abel (violin and stomp), Dom Doran (whistles, concertina and pipes), and Jack Hogsden (melodeons and guitar), they have performed at folk clubs, festival stages, ceilidhs, concerts, street parties, functions, and so much more in such a short time already. They closed the Jester Stage at Warwick Folk Festival 2025, tore up the city of Brighton & Hove with their St. Patrick's Day Street Party set, and have performed at sell-out shows around the south of England. As they venture into the Autumn season, and looking forwards to 2026, they are preparing for some fantastic shows, projects, and events.

Martin Clarke is a hugely experienced caller. His endless enthusiasm for getting everyone involved, and simple patient guidance in explaining the dances, focuses on ensuring that everyone has as much fun as possible. Martin uses gender neutral, positional calls.

There is a licensed bar with ale, cider, wine and soft drinks.

Saving the planet - Oxfolk is no longer serving drinks in disposable glasses so please bring along your own reusable glasses or purchase an Oxfolk one at the bar.

We don't ask for proof of concession: if you can't afford to pay the standard price, you are eligible for a concession, no questions asked

- Carer free - if you have a disability and need a personal assistant so that you can enjoy an evening at Oxfolk, we’re happy to provide you with an extra ticket for them, free of charge

Illness and Refund Policy

• If you're feeling unwell and may be suffering from a transmissible illness, please don't come and we'll refund.

Access

• If you have a disability and need a personal assistant so that you can enjoy our events, we're happy to provide you with an extra ticket for them, free of charge. You can book a carer’s ticket when you book your own.

• There is one accessible parking space adjacent to the Centre. There is level access into the Centre, with a ramp at the front. A disabled person’s toilet is available.

• Lighting is, depending on the time of day, natural light or the hall’s own lighting. We do not use flashing lights.

• There is a quieter area in the lobby, which is next to the hall but also separate from it.

• For called dances, use of non-gendered positional terms or alternative role names in calling is explained in the event description.
