Need help?
We are delighted to see Oxford University Ceilidh Band returning to Folk Weekend Oxford. This lively ensemble features the best folk musicians in the University. They play lots of classy tunes from Scottish and other Celtic nations, and with real verve and love for the music. They are also very hard working, playing for numerous college ceilidhs and charity events. The band's resident callers Alex Burgar and Tim Davies will explain all the dances, so that we can kick back and have fun! You up for a party!
The combined forces of Oxford University Morris and Oxford City Morris Men are appearing at our Friday night ceilidh on 22nd April. They are affectionately known as Town and Gown, and are our most local performers ever to appear at St Barnabas Church, as the groups are based at Jericho.
It's great to be back and dancing in-person, but we must all be careful.
- If you have Covid symptoms please don’t come - we will refund your tickets, no questions asked.
- All of Oxfolk’s volunteers will have done lateral flow tests in the before the ceilidh to keep you safe. We ask you to do the same in the hour before you leave for the ceilidh, and certainly not more than 48 hours beforehand.
- We are restricting the number of tickets we sell.
- The church will be ventilated.
- Sanitizer and hand washing facilities will be available.
