Dance to Guerrilla Ceilidh and callers new to Folk Weekend Oxford, led by Steph West

This is the showcase ceilidh for the earlier Callers' Workshop, abily led and supported by caller and musician Steph West, with music from Guerrilla Ceilidh who play exciting and captivating Irish tunes, with energy and verve.

Some callers may be calling their first dance in public, others will be more experienced but have not appeared at Folk Weekend before. Come enjoy a unique ceilidh and support some of the calling stars of the future.

There may be a mixture of gendered and non-gendered calls.

Covid Notes
Unfortunately, it’s not gone away yet, so:

• If you have Covid symptoms please don’t come - we will refund your tickets, no questions asked.
• The church will be ventilated.
  

• Sanitizer and hand washing facilities will be available.

• If you have a disability and need a personal assistant so that you can enjoy our events, we're happy to provide you with an extra ticket for them, free of charge. You can book a carer’s ticket when you book your own.
• There are 4 steps into St Barnabas Church, and a ramp is available. A disabled person’s toilet is available inside the church.
• Lighting is, depending on the time of day, natural light or the church’s own lighting. We do not use flashing lights.
• There is a quieter / play area near the dance floor, with a pop-up play tent available.
• For called dances (the ceilidhs), use of non-gendered / gendered terms in calling is explained in the event description.
