Oxfolk Ceilidh with Out of Hand and callers from the Caller's Development Day
Sat 11 May 2024 7:30 PM - 11:00 PM BST
Kennington Village Centre, OX1 5PG
Description
Out of Hand is one of the hit dance bands of last summer’s festival season. They have made a real name for themselves as a young and vibrant group. You may have already seen them at Chippenham Folk Festival, Sidmouth FolkWeek or Village Pump Festival. They are putting modern twists on traditional tunes and writing new music, too. The line-up features: Penny Kempson on fiddle, Stuart Duncan on whistle and banjo, Will Sartin on mandolin, Richard Portlock on bass guitar, and Chris Campbell on drums.
This months’ callers all come from the Callers’ Development Day that was held in Feb and led by Lisa Heywood. We are looking forward to welcoming Amy Gill, Flow Stone, Winnie Swann and Clare Haythornthwaite to call at Oxfolk!
Doors 7.30pm, dancing from 8 until 11pm.
There is a licensed bar with ale, cider, wine and soft drinks.
