OHS Drama and Music Departments proudly present an all-female student production of Les Misérables School Edition, as we celebrate 150 years of Oxford High School GDST!

The cast, crew and band are from Years 7 to 13 in our Senior School.

Winner of over 100 international awards and seen by over 65 million people worldwide, Les Misérables is an epic and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit.  Les Misérables (School Edition) showcases the very best moments from one of the most memorable scores of all time as well as providing opportunities for our cast to bring to life some of the most memorable characters in musical theatre.

In 19th century France, Jean Valjean is released from years of unjust imprisonment, but finds nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life, initiating a life-long struggle for redemption as he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe Valjean can change his ways. Finally, during the Paris student uprising of 1832, Javert must confront his ideals after Valjean spares his life and saves that of the student revolutionary who has captured the heart of Valjean's adopted daughter.

The show features gunshots, smoke, and flashing lights, along with themes of violence, poverty, and suicide.
Anyone aged 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Approximate running time of 2 hours 40 minutes, including the interval, during which refreshments will be served in the John Smith Dining Hall.
