About ORFC 2025
From a fringe protest of 50 people to a global gathering of 5000, ORFC continues to bring the grassroots movement together to lead the way towards a fairer food and farming system in the UK and beyond.
This year’s hybrid conference will run from Thursday, 9th January through Friday 10th January, with in-person registration opening on the evening of Wednesday, 8th January.
The ORFC 2025 line-up will include 150 sessions in-person and 45+ sessions livestreamed from Oxford, with speakers from the UK and around the world addressing crucial issues and thought-provoking topics such as:
Farming today for the climate of tomorrow
New pathways towards land justice
Practical take-homes on: living mulches, tree fodder, nitrogen-fixing straw
Traditional ecological knowledge and land-based wisdom
Building a fossil-free food system
Livestock grazing for biodiversity
Healthy organic and biodynamic soils
Whole farm approaches and the role of tech
Workers’ rights and social justice in food systems
Seed swaps, land match gatherings, and wool workshops
Building an anti-fascist farming movement
Ultra-Processed Foods and agroecological diets
Global farmer connections and much more!
ORFC will be welcoming our global community to Oxford both in person and via online livestream. To streamline the delegate experience, we will be broadcasting the livestreamed sessions via YouTube.
An online ticket will give you access to 45+ sessions livestreamed from Oxford. An in-person ticket will give you access to all the sessions in Oxford (150+) including all the livestreamed sessions so that you can catch up on anything you missed after leaving the in-person conference. Tickets for the in-person ORFC go very quickly and space is limited, so book now to guarantee your place for January.
To show our gratitude for your support, those who buy a supporter ticket will have their name or the name of their organisation printed in the ORFC programme; while those who buy an online supporter ticket will have their name printed on our website.
Can’t be in Oxford? Join us online
If you can’t make it to Oxford, you can still join the conference and participate in the sessions by purchasing an online ticket. The online conference will feature 35+ live-streamed sessions, so you won't miss out on the conversations and knowledge-sharing happening in person in Oxford. Anything you miss will be recorded for you to catch up on later.
At £15 - £50, an online ticket remains – thanks to our many supporters – outstanding value. Once again, all delegates outside Western Europe, the US, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand can join us for free.
Ticket Tiers Explained
To make sure ORFC 2025 reflects the radical and diverse community it represents, we offer tiered tickets. This sliding scale ensures that ORFC remains an equitable platform for the agroecological movement.
Supporter Tickets (£190 in-person/£50 online) will continue to be available for those who can afford to pay a little more to show financial solidarity with new entrants, marginalised farming communities and low-income delegates.
General Tickets (£150 in-person/£35 online) are available for all those who cannot stretch to a Supporter Ticket and are not active farmers, growers or food producers.
Farmer Tickets (£110 in-person/£25 online) are available for farmers, growers, and/or food producers.
Subsidised Tickets (£75 in-person/£15 online) are available for students; young people (under 25); part-time, low-waged, and/or unpaid workers; new entrant farmers; and anyone who would otherwise be unable to afford to attend.
ONLINE Bursary Tickets are free to all delegates from majority world countries and to all who would not otherwise be able to attend. There is no application required.
IN-PERSON Bursary Ticket applications have closed.
Childcare spaces for children aged 3 years and older are also available to book in addition to any in-person ticket. Please note spaces are limited and must be booked in advance by Thursday, 19th December 2024
