🌿 Help Create a Wildlife Habitat at Wayland's Smithy! 🌿

Join us for a fun and rewarding morning building a dead hedge to support local wildlife.

📍 Where: Wayland's Smithy

🗓 When: 21st March 2026  10am to 12.30pm

✅ Tools and guidance provided (and a hot drink and biscuits!) – just bring your enthusiasm!

Please come with  suitable footwear  i.e. wellies or sturdy boots  and dress warmly for wintery weather, it can be chilly up there!! Don't forget your coat!

Parking detail: 

  1. There's limited parking available if you come up Knighton Hill off the B4507. It's the turning just before White Horse Hill car park, right at the crossroads with Compton Beauchamp. It's a steep hill up to the top. The what3words location for the parking area is ///notes.suspends.cross. This is a rough pull-in area that can accommodate 3 or 4 cars, and it's a short walk along the Ridgeway from there.
  2. The what3words for this parking area is ///bloodshot.convert.pony, and it can accommodate up to 15 cars. Alternatively, there's plenty of parking off the B4000, but it's a ten-minute walk to Wayland's Smithy.

From the parking areas you will have to walk to the site location (only five or ten minutes walk)
