Description

Working from a classical cast and reference examples, this one-day workshop introduces sculpting the anatomy of the face and head in earthenware paper clay. No previous sculpting experience is needed. Each stage is demonstrated and explained, work at a pace that suits you.

About the Tutor

Rob Lenihan studied at Cheltenham College of Art, the Florence Academy of Art, and Studio Della Statua, also in Florence. He has worked alongside sculptors and historians continuing a centuries-old tradition of figurative sculpture. His personal practice, at his studio in Ancoats, uses traditional techniques in clay and stone applied to contemporary subject matter.
