Buddhism is one of the world’s great spiritual traditions, practiced by close to a billion people around the globe. The rise in the numbers of people practicing Buddhism is extraordinary considering that it’s a spirituality and philosophy with no central authority, no rigid dogma and no mission to convert anyone.
Join Buddhist practitioner Paddy Brosnan to explore all things Buddhist. From the profoundly beautiful to the seemingly bizarre! Starting with the Buddha himself and the origins of the tradition right through to modern day.
But what is Buddhism?
In this 5 week Introduction to Buddhism course you’ll get the answers to all these questions and more.
You’ll dive into the beliefs and practices of Buddhism and examine concepts like Meditation, Enlightenment, Karma, The Four Noble Truths and Rebirth. Discover what the Buddha actually taught, which was a set of tools to end personal suffering through a better understanding of our minds and the nature of reality. And of course there’ll be plenty of opportunities to ask any questions you might have.
The course will run every Monday, 8pm-9pm LIVE on zoom for 5 weeks starting on March 6thth. All sessions will be recorded to view later in case you miss any of them.
