A participatory workshop on rest, resilience, and radical care

Mental health is never just an individual struggle; it’s shaped by the systems we live in, the stories we inherit, and the communities we hold close. Tender Together is a space for women and gender-expansive people of colour to explore the intersections of mental health, solidarity, and collective power.

This workshop invites us to consider what it means to care for ourselves and each other, not just in times of crisis but as a daily, deliberate act. Through guided reflection, group activities, and open conversation, we’ll unpack how race, gender, migration, and intergenerational experiences shape our emotional well-being. The workshop will be co-facilitated by journalist, human rights activist, and psychologist Helen Fares, and community organiser Zeina Dowidar.

Together, we’ll ask:

  • What does care look like when the world feels heavy?

  • How can we practise support that doesn’t drain us?

  • And what tools do we need to feel more rooted, heard, and held?

All identities and experiences are welcome within the space, with priority given to women and gender-expansive people of colour. No prior knowledge or preparation is required. Come as you are.
