Carve & Create: A Wood Carving Workshop with Luke Lee
Join us for an intimate, hands-on wood carving workshop led by sculptor Luke Lee. This session invites you to slow down, work with your hands, and explore the quiet beauty of shaping wood into form.
Luke is a full-time sculptor who specialises in small wood carvings, constantly experimenting with wood in combination with other materials. His practice is rooted in curiosity, patience, and a deep respect for craft. Having taught classes in his hometown of Brentford, Luke brings both experience and a thoughtful, open approach to teaching.
This workshop is designed for all levels — whether you’re completely new or looking to reconnect with making. You’ll be guided through the fundamentals of carving, introduced to tools and techniques, and supported as you create your own small piece to take home.
More than just a workshop, this is a space to gather, learn, and create together. Luke shares this craft here with intention, choosing to teach in a venue that reflects his values — standing in solidarity with those suffering under occupation and genocide, and supporting spaces that centre community, culture, and care.
All materials will be provided.
