For Palestinians & Lebanese | 3 years on: Night of Reflection

On 7 October, Palestine House will be open late for a quiet evening of reflection, sharing within our Palestinian and Lebanese communities.

There is no programme and no expectation to speak. You can come and sit, have a cup of tea, and simply exist in the weight of the day and of everything it has come to carry since. The events, profound losses, changes, hypocrisy, fights and moments that have shaped our lives, our communities and the way we move through the world.

You can come to vent, reflect, share a thought, a memory or a feeling, or simply sit.

It is a space to be around others who will understand without needing an explanation. A space where you do not have to translate what you are feeling, justify it, or worry about being misunderstood.

Come for ten minutes or stay for the evening. Speak if you want to. Listen if you want to. Sit quietly if that is what you need.

This is simply a space for us to be together, to hold what this day means, how it came to be and everything that has followed from it, however we are arriving that night.

يوم ٧ أكتوبر، رح يضل البيت الفلسطيني فاتح لوقت متأخر، لمساحة هادية للتأمل، والحكي، والوجود مع بعض.

ما في برنامج معيّن، وما في أي توقّع إنك تحكي. فيك تيجي تقعد، تشرب كاسة شاي، وتكون موجود وبس، مع ثِقل هاليوم وكل اللي صار يحمله معه من وقتها — من أحداث، وخسارات، وتغيّرات، ولحظات أثّرت في حياتنا، ومجتمعاتنا، وحتى بالطريقة اللي صرنا نعيش ونشوف فيها العالم.

فيك تيجي تفضفض، تتأمل، تشارك فكرة، ذكرى أو شعور, أو ما تحكي.

هي مساحة تكون فيها حوالي ناس بفهموك من غير ما تضطر تشرح. من غير ما تترجم اللي جواك، أو تبرر شعورك، أو تخاف إنك تنفهم غلط.

تعال لعشر دقايق أو ضل معنا طول السهرة. احكي إذا حابب. اسمع إذا حابب. أو اقعد بهدوء إذا هاد اللي محتاجه.

هي بكل بساطة مساحة نكون فيها مع بعض، نحمل معنى هاليوم وكل اللي إجى قبلو و بعده.
