• Julia Peterson, People + Culture Manager, Free Fly: Julia, a seasoned HR professional and leader of People and Culture at Free Fly, will speak to how the B Corp certification process helps to build a values-driven culture. She will focus on how this people-first strategy is a powerful tool for attracting top talent and fostering team retention.
• Kate Schmieding, Director of Impact, Obviouslee: As a longtime conservationist and director of impact, Kate will share how B Corp certification can amplify marketing efforts, create new business opportunities, and help with employee engagement and retention.
• Pamela Martin, Professor of Political Science; Executive Director, The RISE Center, Coastal Carolina University: Pamela will provide an overview of the updated B Corp standards and share details about her program at Coastal Carolina, which works with students to help businesses through the certification process.
