BOSF presents: Inspire with Art - Stop litter in Parks! workshop, hosted by Ildikó Nagy
Sat 18 Sep 2021 12:45 PM - 1:45 PM
Moseley Park, B13 8DD
Description
Are you fed up with seeing our beautiful parks and green spaces being disrespected by thoughtless litterers?
So are we!
It’s time to get creative and help to inspire with art, to stop litter in parks!
Birmingham Open Spaces Forum host an arts and craft workshops inspired by rubbish!
Their wonderful host Ildikó Nagy will take you through an hour of arts and crafts using the litter we find around us to make your own Bug Hotel.
Bug Hotels benefit all sorts of minibeasts and insects such as ladybirds, bees, spiders and woodlice. Minibeasts can then use your bug hotel as a safe space to shelter, lay their eggs, raise their young, and seek refuge from predators. During this workshop will create these Bug Hotels out of recycled materials and then they can be hung from trees/placed in quiet places outdoors, like corners of gardens.
Suitable for all ages, children under 6 with parental guidance.
Parks are vital to the health and well-being of so many people across our city! Through this activity we are aiming to promote a positive message and encourage people use parks responsibly and help to look after the environment.
Produced in partnership with Moseley Litterbusters and Plastic Free Moseley and Kings Heath.

Inspire with Art - Stop Litter in Parks is part of Little but LIVE! an open-air festival in Moseley Park from 17th - 19th September 2021. We have a wonderful programme of events across theatre, music, comedy as well as a range of workshops for all the family.
To find out more about our other events please visit out website at https://www.paperbacktheatre.com/littlebutlive
We are proud to say that tickets for all events at Little but LIVE! are £5.00 to ensure the festival remains as accessible as possible. However, all the festival staff and artists are volunteering their time. If you feel able to, we would greatly appreciate if you would consider making a small extra donation at checkout that will be ringfenced and shared amongst all the artists taking part in Little but LIVE! This last year and a half has been terrible for the UK's creative freelance workforce with theatres shut and festivals cancelled, and support at this time is integral to making sure the creative industries will bounce back in the future.
