Graham Shulman is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist. He was previously Lead for the Infant Mental Health Service, and Joint Head of Child Psychotherapy, in NHS Lanarkshire before retiring from the NHS. He is a past Editor of the Journal of Child Psychotherapy and past Assistant Editor of the Infant Observation Journal. He has published articles and chapters on on infant observation and its applications, on clinical and theoretical themes in child psychotherapy, on psychoanalysis and literature, and on links between psychoanalysis, literature and chaos theory. He is joint editor of and contributor to both The Emotional Experience of Adoption: A Psychoanalytic Perspective (Routledge, 2008) and The Non-Linear Mind: Psychoanalysis of Complexity in Psychic Life (Routledge, 2016). He has taught infant observation, and delivered infant mental health training, to a range of professionals and agencies over the past 25 years.
