Greater Manchester's Unsung Heroes - Workshop 1

Who inspires you? Why? How can we commemorate them?

Partisan is running a project to celebrate inspiring people from Greater Manchester through art.

Join us on 12th November for our first workshop. Together we will craft, collage, write, print and draw. You can bring your own Unsung Hero - someone who is important to you personally, politically or culturally who you think has had an impact on Greater Manchester. Or you can work with a list of local heroes from history developed through conversations between People's History Museum and community activist historians.

This is the first of three planned workshops - we are planning to experiment with textile upcycling (wear your hero on a t-shirt!) and maybe even some metal working and street art. The artwork from the workshops, and any community submissions, will be collated in a zine. And we hope to also host an exhibition to showcase the project.

You can submit your own Unsung Hero here, submit artwork through the same form. And see our list of heroes to work with here.
