The BU and AUB Performing Arts Society proudly presents JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR!

Following our productions of 'Footloose’ and 'Grease’, the BU and AUB Performing Arts Society is excited to return to The Palace Court Theatre with Jesus Christ Superstar, from the 16th till the 18th of April 2026. The show by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber follows the events of the last days of the life of Jesus Christ, as seen through the eyes of Judas. Reflecting the rock roots that defined a generation, the legendary score includes ‘Heaven on their minds’, ‘Gethsemane’ and the iconic title number ‘Superstar’.

We have deemed this show suitable for ages 12 and over. Please be aware that this show contains mature themes. Strobe lighting, haze, and other atmospheric and pyrotechnic effects may be present during this show.

Accessibility within the Theatre

Currently the theatre is undergoing a renovation which will involve improving the accessibility of the building. There are currently no lifts in the building, so accessibility is limited. There are three steps from the street to the theatre entrance. A moveable ramp is available to use on these steps. This is currently not deemed suitable for electric/power wheelchairs, but can be used by non-motorised wheelchairs with assistance. Please let us know in advance if you need to use this.

Access to the main auditorium is on a level with the foyer. There's seating available with extra legroom and two wheelchair spaces. Please advise when booking tickets if you require these spaces. There is one accessible toilet, located in the foyer.

Access to the main toilets is via a series of steps.

Please note, it's also important that you make us aware prior to an event that you have an accessibility need, so that we can arrange a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan for you.
